This project was created to document the historic landscape of Blaenau Ffestiniog, a town in North Wales once responsible for mining vast amounts of slate to be used around the world. The town has undergone a drastic shift from industrial mining town to a popular tourist attraction for families and thrill seekers.
You can explore the abandoned slate mines via tunnels of trampolines, ‘glamp’ amongst the hills of broken slate and quad bike through the fields and mountains surrounding the town.
